ACADEMIC FIELD & RESEARCH

I study behavior and ecology of western lowland gorillas either in captive condition and in the wild. My current research topics are 1) social development and 2) intergroup interaction. As well as research, I am doing conservation activities of wild gorillas. I am currently looking for the way to realize symbiosis of local people and wildlife.

Recently I have realized that what I am really interested in is not the primates themselves, but how they appear to the observer.
